Benefits Plan for Alberta Child Care Professionals

The Alberta Child Care Association is very excited to offer high level, cost-effective health benefits for child care professionals and their programs.  This is a key first step to offering the professional benefits and recognition to childcare staff in Alberta that has been lacking for so many years.

This umbrella benefits plan is administered by employers for the entire program or centre. 

To be eligible, a program must have:

• 100% staff participation in the benefits program with an ‘opt out’ clause with evidence of spousal coverage;
• A minimum of 50% (or more) of monthly premium costs covered by the employer and;
• 100% of staff must be members of the Alberta Child Care Association (this includes support staff if they fall under your benefits plan)

Follow these steps to get information and quotes.

Step 1: Your first step is to follow the link that matches your centre staff size, print it off and pick those items and benefits you wish to have covered.

Step 2: Next, print off the Request for Quotation form (pdf), fill in your staff information and the plan design you have chosen for your program.

Step 3: Finally, fax the form to Randy Stinson at Benefex Consulting at (780) 451-4494.  You will be contacted with a quote or with questions for clarification within 2 weeks.

Final Step: Once you have received a quote and you wish to move forward with the plan, ensure that all your staff have joined the ACCA, and submit the final forms to Benefex
